Hello Pastor. I wasn't going to write this because it's quite personal. But when I heard your story, and saw the striking similarities to my own, I decided to do it anyway. I'd just ask that if you decide to share it with other people, that you don't use my name. Ok here we go. Just like you, my wife suffered from severe chronic pain and several other ailments as well. One day, her symptoms led to a bad fall, and a fractured hip. The doctor had prescribed her strong opiates for the pain, which did seem to help for a while. Then one day I came home, and Jessica was non-responsive. I can't tell you how scary that was. It was definitely the worst moment of my life. Of course we rushed her to the hospital. The doctor explained that she had taken a few too many of the painkillers, and had suffered a mild overdose. (Mind you, this was the same doctor that had prescribed them to her in the first place!)
